我们需要家长自愿者

今年C组和K班需要家长自愿者担任部分领队及扫尾工作，请大家积极报名参与，报名的家长，你的名字会出现在这个日历中，以便提醒你当天出勤并作为历史。往年我们有许多无名英雄，但类似的记录少。2023年开始，我们会用这个日历来记录这些曾经为小朋友们做出贡献的家长们。每年的历史小结中，名单会列到网站上，以便自己引用（需要的话，我们也可以提供证明信）。

A组和B组速度较快，一般家长骑车跟随已开始有困难，只能由A组的小教练及其他成员担任领队与扫尾。

家长如何做领滑，扫尾和巡逻？

家长不必担心不会做领滑，扫尾和巡逻，只要你能骑车或轮滑，就可以做领滑，扫尾和巡逻。我们会给出具体指导，每次活动教练们都都会到场，活动之前都会有说明。你需要记住的最关键一点是：“等齐后，统一过马路“。

我们通常在小区或人行道上滑，只有在过繁忙的马路时，需与车辆打交道，由领滑统一指挥，确认车辆已停下，所有人员提排队过马路。避免出现领滑一个人先去了马路对面，其他小朋友断断续续地自己判断何时过马路…，过马路的人数很多时（尽量分成几队，每队不多于30人），领队，扫尾，巡逻要对过马路的待续时间做适当控制，如果阻碍了太多车辆（一长队车辆等我们过马路），要经暂停过马路，车辆疏散后再继续。

特别注意的是我们没有权力阻止/指挥交通（只有警察有），任何人请不要在路口强行阻止车辆，而是耐心等待车辆停下，如果有人或车为我们让路，请表达谢意。

We need parent volunteers

This year, Group C and Class K require parent volunteers to serve as  leaders and sweeper. We encourage everyone to actively sign up and participate. For those who register, your name will appear on this calendar as a reminder of your attendance and to serve as a historical record. In past years, we have had many unsung heroes, but there have been few similar records. Starting in 2023, we will use this calendar to record the parents who have made contributions to the children. At the end of each year's summary, the list will be posted on the website for self-reference. If needed, we can also provide a letter of confirmation. 

Groups A and B have a faster pace, and it may be difficult for parents to follow on bicycles, so only the small coaches and other members of Group A can serve as team leaders and do the clean-up work. 

How can parents lead, sweep and patrol?

Parents don't need to worry about how to lead, sweep, and patrol. As long as you can ride a bike or roller skate, you can do it. We will provide specific guidance, and the coaches will be present at each activity to give instructions beforehand. The most crucial thing to remember is "wait for everyone to gather and cross the road together."

We usually skate on the sidewalks or in the residential area. Only when crossing busy roads, we need to interact with vehicles. The lead skater will command everyone and confirm that the vehicles have stopped before everyone queues up to cross the road. We want to avoid situations where the lead skater crosses the road alone while other children are trying to determine when to cross. If there are many people crossing the road (try to divide into several teams, each with no more than 30 people), the leader, sweeper and patrol need to control the waiting time appropriately. If too many vehicles are affected (a long line of cars waiting for us to cross the road), we need to temporarily stop crossing and continue after the vehicles have cleared.

It is essential to note that we do not have the authority to stop/direct traffic (only the police do). Anyone should not forcefully stop vehicles at intersections but should wait patiently for the vehicles to stop. If someone or a car yields to us, please express our gratitude.
