刷街中领队,扫尾和巡逻

  在路上轮滑简称刷街。一队人同时刷街,需要领队,扫尾和巡逻。


  领队的作用是在队伍的最前面,给出指令和手势,引导方向,提醒路面障碍,提示前方否有车辆,行人和自行车,过马路之前将整个队伍叫停,等齐之后,作为一个整体一起过马路,请一定避免领队一个人先过了马路,队伍却被交通隔离在后面,很容易发生危险。


  领队是刷街队伍的前锋,决定着以什么样的节奏前进,在什么地方休息,什么时间休息,是刷街活动的决定因素。常用的口令,Car up!bike up!dirty road!pedestrian! gravel! hole! 等。


  领队经常要跟扫尾和巡逻保持联系,如果后面有人掉队或出现异常,需要及时停下队伍等待。领队需要保持一个比较好的节奏,不能太快也不能太慢,保持队伍尽量紧凑,不要把战线拉得太长,少占马路,以便车辆超越队伍时,用的时间比较短,在单车道路上滑行时,要特别注意,最好选单向双车道的路,轮滑在慢车道,车辆从内侧到超越。通常在每个主要的转弯处,要停下来等齐再走,否则有人会转错弯滑丢了。


  扫尾的作用同样重要,主要是保证不会有人掉队,同时监视后方是否有车辆跟随,如果发现后方有车或自行车等,要超越队伍,需要口头提醒,例如car back! bike back! keep right ! 


  扫尾要经常保持与领队和巡逻的联系,最好带上对讲机,及时通知领队是否太快,是否有人掉队,是否有异常情况出现。如果发现有人受伤,要叫停整个队伍进行相应处理。如果中途有人主动退出,请通知扫尾。


  轮滑巡逻,在队伍比较长,人数比较多的时候是必须的。功能是处理领队和扫尾没法处理的事。一个例子是当队伍较长需要过马路,如果出现长时间阻断交通,并积压车辆的情况,巡逻可以指挥队伍暂停过马路,给车辆让行。这种情况请注意,巡逻只有权暂停轮滑队伍过马路的权力,但没有权利叫停交通车辆,只有警察才能那样做。


  另外一个例子是当队伍,中间有人在内车道滑行时,轮滑巡逻需要提醒他们,回到自己的车道。巡逻不限于上述两种情况,带上对讲机,随时处理出现的情况。


  在大型活动中巡逻还有一个重要的任务就是先锋队。也就是在其他人在休息的时候,巡逻队要先去前面各个路口站好,提醒车辆,有轮滑队伍要经过,请他们注意,直到扫尾过去之后,巡逻才跟着队伍滑到下一个休息处,如此循环直到活动结束。巴黎的周五刷街就是这种运行模式。美国的民间组织NSP, National skate patrol,有大批的志愿者做这种工作,美国的各种大型的轮滑刷街活动,使用的都是这种运行模式。这种模式相当于非正式的,动态地分段封闭公路。实践表明这是一种有效的运行方式,适合在大城市里搞刷街活动, New York big apple roll.  Skate Boston, 费城的 Freedom skate 都是采用这种模式。


  我们“玉米地村”虽然不大,当人数较多时,轮滑巡逻是必须的,如果你或你的小孩有很好的轮滑技巧,请积极报名参加。明年报名的时候,如果你今年轮滑巡逻时间超过某一个值,我们可以考虑给出适当的优惠政策(目前还没有最后决定,但完全是值得考虑的一条)。


  今年我们将给予领队和扫尾权利,他们可以执行轮滑课纪律,与往年教练相当。可以给出口头警告和黄牌警告,并有权利提议给出红牌处罚。


  请家长及A组小朋友们,请积极报名领队和扫尾,这是锻炼领导能力的机会,请大家充分利用。



Skate leader, sweeper, and skate patrol in street skating

Street skating, also known as "brushing the street," requires a leader, sweeper, and patrol when a group of people are skating together.

The role of the leader is to be at the front of the group, giving commands and gestures to guide direction, alert the team to obstacles on the road, indicate the presence of cars, pedestrians, and bicycles ahead, and stop the entire group before crossing the street. After everyone has stopped, the group will cross the street together as a whole, and the leader must make sure to avoid crossing the street before the rest of the team catches up, which could be dangerous if traffic separates the group.

The leader is the vanguard of the street skating team and determines the pace of the group's progress, where to rest, and when to rest. The leader's commands often include "Car up! Bike up! Dirty road! Pedestrian! Gravel! Hole!" The leader must stay in touch with the sweeper and patrol and stop the group promptly if someone falls behind or something unusual happens. The leader should maintain a good pace, not too fast or too slow, keep the group as compact as possible, and avoid occupying too much of the road to allow vehicles to pass the group quickly. When skating on a single lane road, especially in one-way double-lane roads, skaters should stick to the slow lane, and vehicles should pass on the inside. Usually, the team should stop at every major turn and wait for everyone to catch up before moving on; otherwise, someone may take a wrong turn and get lost.

The sweeper's role is equally important in ensuring that no one falls behind and monitoring whether there are cars or bicycles following from behind. If there are vehicles or bicycles following from behind, the sweeper must verbally remind the team to "car back!" or "bike back!" and "keep right!" The sweeper should also maintain contact with the leader and patrol and carry a walkie-talkie to notify the leader if the team is moving too fast or if someone falls behind or if something unusual happens. If someone is injured, the sweeper should stop the entire team and take appropriate action. If someone voluntarily withdraws from the team, the sweeper should be informed.

Skate patrols are essential when the team is relatively large, and there are many people. Their function is to handle situations that the leader and sweeper cannot handle. For example, when the team is too long and needs to cross the road, if there is a long-term traffic jam and a backlog of vehicles, the patrol can order the team to pause and let the vehicles pass. Please note that the patrol only has the right to temporarily stop the skating team from crossing the road, but not the right to stop traffic. Only the police can do that.

Another example is when someone skates in the middle lane, the skate patrol needs to remind them to return to their own lane. The patrol is not limited to the above two situations and can handle any situation that arises with the help of a walkie-talkie.

One important task of patrolling in large-scale events is to be the vanguard. When others are resting, the patrol team must go to the various intersections ahead, remind vehicles that there is a roller skating team passing through, and ask them to pay attention. The patrol team follows the team until the end of the event and then skates to the next resting point in a loop. This operational mode is used in the Friday Night Skate in Paris and by the National Skate Patrol (NSP) in the United States, where large-scale roller skating events use this mode of operation. This mode is equivalent to informally and dynamically closing roads in sections. Practice has shown that this is an effective way of operation and is suitable for skating events in large cities such as the New York Big Apple Roll, Skate Boston, and Freedom Skate in Philadelphia.

Although our "Cornfield Village" is not large, roller skating patrols are necessary when there are a large number of people. If you or your child have good roller skating skills, please actively sign up to participate. When you sign up next year, if your roller skating patrol time exceeds a certain value this year, we can consider giving appropriate preferential policies (this is still not a final decision, but it is definitely worth considering).

This year, we will give the leaders and tail-enders the right to enforce roller skating discipline, equivalent to previous coaches. They can give verbal warnings and yellow card warnings, and have the right to propose red card penalties.

Parents and children in Group A, please actively sign up to be leaders and tail-enders. This is an opportunity to exercise leadership skills, and we encourage everyone to make full use of it.
